“ The Pilgrimage” – Independent Producer

After a gruesome pandemic, humanity is in need of finding a spiritual meaning and quest. The Pilgrimage is a story of seekers of meaning, finding their answers in Eastern spiritual spaces and conversations. The documentary will follow a select group of Buddhist pilgrims on a life-changing journey through Nepal and India that will culminate with the auspicious commitment to altruism known as the Bodhisattva vows. Under the guidance of Geshe Tenzin Zopa, the pilgrims will be led home to Bodh Gaya, the site of the Buddha’s enlightenment. The key moment, or crescendo, of the film, will center around who ultimately will or will not take the vows, the profound changes that may or may not happen, the repercussions of the pilgrims’ decisions, and their triumphs and disappointments along the way. This is a documentary about beauty, magic, and mystery unfolding around Nepal, and the opportunity to learn life through it.

This documentary film was produced by independent producer Mr. Mukul Bhatia and written by Mr. Philip O’leary.
